The client from Haiphong City, Vietnam is a professional chemical raw material processing plant seeking to customize a ton bag feeding station production line for the feeding and transportation of calcium chlorate, and requires dust-free operation throughout the entire process. After detailed follow-up and coordination with the foreign trade manager Suzy, Mr. Guo, a senior engineer at XIANFENG, finally finalized and designed a complete solution. After several negotiations, the client successfully signed a contract worth $41000 with us and put it into operation in March 2024. The production line is currently running normally.
Because the customer is a chemical enterprise, the production environment requires no dust leakage and calcium chlorate powder is corrosive and has explosive risks. Therefore, there are extremely high requirements for the welding process, airtightness, and reasonable design of various equipment on the production line.
Ton package unpacking machine:
·We have adopted two fully automatic enclosed ton unpacking machines and equipped them with a double tap negative pressure dust removal system to meet production capacity and avoid powder leakage. They are also equipped with pneumatic assisted automatic cutting knife unpacking tools to minimize the risk of health hazards to operators.
·The workbench is made of 316L stainless steel and 0.5mm thick Hastelloy composite plate, with a 50mm rounded edge treatment and a conductive grounding copper strip installed at the bottom. Explosion proof emergency stop buttons are installed on both sides of the workbench and equipped with infrared sensors, which automatically pause the equipment when personnel leave.
Chain conveyor:
·Select nickel based alloy, spray tungsten carbide coating on the surface of the tray, install low-speed crushing rollers at the entrance of the conveyor, and use a grid screen to crush agglomerates while avoiding friction and heat generation.
·Adopting variable frequency speed regulation explosion-proof motor, the conveyor frame is equipped with an electrostatic discharge brush every 2 meters, and a conductive rubber plate below is used to export static electricity in real time.
Storage bin:
·The inner wall of the silo is polished with a mirror finish and lined with polytetrafluoroethylene board to reduce the risk of sticking materials.
·Adopting ultrasonic arch breaking device instead of pneumatic striking to reduce mechanical wear.
Electric control panel:
·Adopting explosion-proof enclosure, explosion-proof heat sink is installed on the outside of the enclosure, combined with internal intrinsic safety fan, and the temperature inside the control box is ≤ 40 ℃.
PLC program design three-level interlocking logic:
·Level 1: When the dust concentration is greater than 20g/m ³ (laser detector, accuracy ± 5%) and the electrostatic voltage is greater than 5kV (electrostatic sensor), immediately stop the unpacking machine and conveyor;
·Level 2: When the material level in the silo is greater than 90% or less than 10%, the conveyor speed is automatically adjusted
·Level 3: When the equipment temperature exceeds 60 ℃ (infrared thermometer), an audible and visual alarm will be triggered and the machine will stop after a 30 second delay
Equipped with emergency manual operation panel
By targeted solutions to core issues such as sealed dust removal, anti-corrosion static electricity, and interlocking control, this solution has achieved safe and stable operation of the calcium chlorate powder ton bag feeding production line, while meeting environmental and compliance requirements. The key lies in material selection (oxidation resistance, conductivity), equipment linkage (PLC precise control), safety redundancy (dual detection, emergency backup), ensuring efficient production while minimizing risks.
